Simple Green Breakfast Smoothie

Reclaim your morning with this green smoothie, made from apples, avocado, spinach, and mango.

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, right? So of course I sit down and eat a perfectly balanced, delicious meal each morning. Haha! With two kids to get out the door, the theatrics in our kitchen are Oscar-worthy. In reality, I’m lucky if I manage to get down half a cup of coffee and maybe a forkful of my son’s cold, leftover scrambled eggs…Gross.

Luckily, I discovered this simple green smoothie. It’s as easy as throwing some everyday super-foods into a blender and hitting a button. It’s quick, healthy, tasty, and leaves no room for excuses not to get breakfast right. Go on now, take your morning back!

Simple Green Smoothie
makes 1 serving

1 small green apple, cored and chopped
1 cup fresh baby spinach
1/2 avocado
1/3 cup frozen mango (or other fruit, such as pineapple, strawberries, or cantaloupe)
1 cup water
1 tablespoon tahini (optional)

Place all ingredients in a blender and mix until smooth. Voila! Pour and enjoy.
