Rebecca Atwood’s Beach-Chic Pillows

Rebecca Atwood Shibori Tangerine

Rebecca Atwood’s new Williamson collection includes linen pillows hand-dyed using the Japanese shibori technique.

There’s nothing quite as appealing as something that has been sun-kissed. Textile designer Rebecca Atwood’s new Williamson collection is inspired by just that notion. Using her signature hand-dyed shibori fabrics in tangerine and blue-green and complimentary neutral linens, these pillows come in beautiful muted hues. Atwood’s hand-made approach — she hand-dyes fabrics in her studio — produces natural variations in color and pattern, so each item is unique. (She also works with printers in Rhode Island and New York, where all garments are sewn.) The pieces are relaxed, yet in the chicest of ways: a gold zipper, for example, accents and elevates the design, which is casual enough for a beach house but refined enough for a city dwelling. No matter the setting, sinking into these pillows would make every day feel like there’s sunshine on your face and sand between your toes.
