It all starts with gratitude. Give thanks for your guests with a sweet welcome, before dinner even starts, by placing a pumpkin pie cookie (6) from Newport Sweet Shoppe at their place setting. They’ll know just where to sit when you pen their names in pretty lettering on acorn place cards (3) from Chateau & Bungalow. Take the natural autumnal theme a step further with lovely napkin rings (5) and an oak leaf serving spoon (2), both from Terrain. This small but sophistcated Bernardaud goblet (1) makes a perfect vase – or use it as a cup for the wine that will flow freely from Simon Pearce’s Bristol decanter (4); the hand-blown carafe was, coincidentally, inspired by and named for the beauty of our neighbor to the north.
