Make a Statement with Haarstick Jewelry

Geometric Cuff

The Geometric cuff by Haarstick was inspired by crop circles.

Every stylish woman knows that you don’t need an extensive wardrobe if you’ve got the right accessories. Nothing compliments a little black dress or jeans and a t-shirt like a piece of statement jewelry. Enter Haarstick, your new go-to source for gorgeous, modern pieces that won’t break the bank.

The line features bold, geometric designs that conjure mid-century modern design, but are totally contemporary and equally fun. Haarstick is designed by Katie Whittemore, a long-time L.A. resident who settled in Newport, R.I. and has a passion for all things vintage. She first began re-working pieces that she found in antique and thrift shops for herself and friends. But between her new hobby and her obsession with fashion (Alexander McQueen, Gucci, Valentino, and Anna Sui are favorites), it wasn’t long before she wanted to design her own pieces from start to finish. After enrolling in jewelry design courses at the Rhode Island School of Design, she began creating her unique line of gold-plated, laser-cut steel designs.

Haarstick Crop Pendant

Many Haarstick pieces include vintage elements, such as the Swarovski chain on this Crop pendant.

With their striking patterns and just-right scale, Haarstick pieces need little accompaniment. “Making a woman stand out from the crowd and creating something unique and modern is really my goal,” says Katie, who named the line after her great-grandfather.

Next on the horizon is a line of three-dimensional zodiac rings and sculptural pendants inspired by nature. True to Katie’s mission, they’re sure to make anyone’s star shine a little brighter. “I’d plate the whole world in gold if I could!” says the designer. As long as we can wear it, we’re totally cool with that.
